On April 10, 2011, I ran in the Gulf Coast Half Marathon. The race was held on Pensacola Beach. Four of my coworkers ran in the race with me. The weather was far from optimal running conditions. The temperature at the start was about 71 degrees, it was humid and it was foggy. Several people collapsed during the race. I watched one female collapse about mile 11. After the race, I got dizzy and was scared I was going to pass out too. I finished the race in 1:56:29. To the right is a photograph of me and my friends before the race. Check out the fog in the background.
